San Diego State men's soccer forward David Olsen was named Pac-12 player of the week on Monday.
This came after the freshman from Fircrest, Washington, scored the game-winning goals in SDSU's two wins over top-25 teams last weekend.
He was also named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player in the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central Aztec Soccer Tournament.
The first goal was a dramatic late-game penalty kick against No. 25 Clemson to seal a 2-1 victory. The second game-winner was in the 63rd minute of Sunday's entertaining 4-3 win over No. 19 Denver.
It's Olsen's first career collegiate award, and he's enjoyed a good start to his college career on the Mesa, leading the Aztecs with three goals in SDSU's first four games, on just four shots on target.
The Aztecs have also won three games in a row after dropping their season-opener. They'll host Wright State on Friday at 7 p.m. at the SDSU Sports Deck.
