Boise State has scheduled a home-and-home series with another BCS program.

Boise State has been on a roll of late by being able to land home-and-home games from the big boy leagues, and their latest addition is Oklahoma State. The two sides will play in 2018 in Stillwater and then the 2021 game will be in Boise. The 2018 game will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools, barring any meet up in the post season from now until then.

In addition to the Oklahoma State series, the Broncos have a home-and-home games scheduled with Florida State, Virginia, Washington, Michigan State UL Lafayette, Troy and Washington State.

There have been some talks that Boise State has secured more high profile teams due to home games being on ESPN, and that might play a factor but I am not buying it.

When the Broncos were in the WAC they were a staple on ESPN, and just over the past two years their presence on the World Wide Leader has been limited to road non-conference games. Whatever the reason it is good for Boise State to get more high profile games.

Their 2018 non-conference schedule is now set, unless they want a fifth non-league game since they go to Hawai'i that year:

09/01 - at Troy
09/08 - Connecticut
09/15 - at Oklahoma State
10/20 - BYU

Here is there 2021 non-conference slate so far:

Hawaii has a new offensive coordinator, and we spoke to someone close to the UTEP program to get to know what he brings to the offense.

Apologies around, I have been sitting on this interview for almost two months until I found it in my email. I spoke with someone who knows new Hawaii offensive coordinator Aaron Price when they were at UTEP.

Here is where we learn about Hawai'i's offensive for this upcoming season.

1. What type of offense did Aaron Price run at UTEP?

Simply put, the offense run by Aaron Price, and Mike Price for many of his years as a HC, is a one back, spread offense. It was, for the most part, a pass heavy offense, but was a little more balanced the last couple of years as UTEP has been fairly running back heavy.

2. What was the reason for the offense to never being any better than the top half of Conference USA? Was it recruiting, play calling or something else.

In the early years of Price, the offense thrived. But, following two 8 win seasons, it was just never the same. And, I'd say it struggled for a multitude of reasons. Some of the blame has to be put on the personnel and recruiting, but I'd place the majority of the blame on play calling and scheming.

UTEP has never brought in the most highly sought after recruits, but especially under Price, they were able to attract some talented players. However, at times it just seemed like it was trying to shove a square peg into a round hole as the play calling got very predictable. Of course, those players still have to go out and execute, but from the outside looking in, the play calling just wasn't do them any favors.

3. What would you say are the strengths of Price running an offense?

I'd say that Price brings quite a bit to the table. Despite not having a ton of success at UTEP, he's a guy that has been around the game, and some successful programs for years. He's got quite a bit of knowledge, and given the right personnel, I think his schemes could work. Considering Hawaii likes to pass the ball a lot, it may be a great fit.

4. Does he have the playbook to be versatile for what Hawaii will do on offense? Hawaii is expected to pass a lot but also mix in some pro-style sets for a more balanced attack with the run.

I can't exactly say that he's got a real versatile playbook. At least, it wasn't shown at UTEP. I think some of that had to do with the fact that he was never truly handed the reigns. He got to call the plays, but I think Mike Price had a lot of input. Maybe with a little more freedom at Hawaii, we could see more than we ever saw with the Miners.

5. You mentioned predictability, was it that Price would call the same style of play in the same down and distances or the same plays out of the same formation. So, how was he predictable?

As far as predictability, I'd say more than anything it was a matter of calling the same type plays in similar down and distance situations. I can't tell you how many times, as a fan, I could call the play that was to come. If I can see that, I can just imagine what a defense that has been that team can see.

Sophomore Don Jackson is looking like the favorite to replace Stefphon Jefferson as the teams starting running back for the 2013 season.

The Nevada Wolf Pack offense is looking to replace running back Stefphon Jefferson, and that is not going to be an easy task. Jefferson was second in the nation in rushing with 1,883 yards and scored 24 touchdowns. The odds on favorite to replace Jefferson is junior college transfer Don Jackson.

Jackson barely made it out of high school since he did not take grades so seriously, and even after improving his grades he had to go the junior college route. However, at Iowa Western he was able to graduate in just three semesters, and that is how he was able to attend spring camp with the Wolf Pack.

In his one year at Iowa Western he was part of a national title team while rushing for 574 yards at 8.7 yards an attempt, plus five touchdowns. He was the teams third leading rusher in a loaded back field.

Jackson is getting a second chance for his football life since he nearly did not even make it out of high school. Here he is discussing his goals for the upcoming season:

The Star-Ledger-US PRESSWIRE

Air Force could be without their traditional flyovers for at least part of the upcoming season, as are all public flyovers which are being suspended through the end of the fiscal year.

College football is chalk full of traditions, and for at least part of one season there will be one less. Prior to Air Force Falcons football games there would be a flyover, but that practice will be placed on hold for at least through the end of September.

Air Force would then have no flyovers for games against Colgate which is their season opener, Utah State and Wyoming; that is half of their home football schedule.

Flyovers are not just stopping for Air Force football games, but all public flyovers are being put on ice until the end of the fiscal year, which ends on Sept. 30. The reason for the move is due the current sequester that is ongoing with the United States government. If things do not get better with the budget then who knows how long the flyovers will be placed on hold.

These public flyovers were not costing the tax payers money, as they would take place during training hours, and would help these pilots practice the tactics that are involved in flying over a certain area. The training hours were cut by as much as 18 percent, meaning these public flyovers were the first to go.

Brig. Gen. Les Kodlick, who is the director of public affairs said that he had no choice due to the budget cuts:

"Engaging with the public is a core Air Force mission and communicating and connecting with the public is more important today than ever before. However, faced with deep budget cuts, we have no choice but to stop public aviation support," said Kodlick. "The Air Force will reevaluate the program at the end of the fiscal year and look for ways to curtail the program without having to cancel aviation support altogether."

Unless they are some massive changes in the Air Force's budgets by September, college football will be missing a great tradition. This tradition has even taken place on road games such as the Michigan game from last season, and a game at Notre Dame in 2011. So, this tradition goes wide and far beyond just the confines of home Air Force football games.

Here is an example of a flyover at Falcon Stadium:

Here is a look at the Mountain West schedule with the television dates so far.

The 2013 Mountain West football schedule is out, and the game times and the television schedule have not been fully released. So we will go ahead and note the games that have been released will be in bold, and then go off of what has a good chance of happening.

First off the Mountain West television deal has 16 games on ESPN, plus all of Boise State's home games and then CBS Sports is keeping rights to 22 other games. After ESPN takes the Boise State games, the two networks alternate games with CBS getting the first pick each week. These amount of games are up to said amount, so there could be less, but I am going to be optimistic and feel the entire 44 games will be picked up.

Also, one tidbit I found in the contract is that ESPN can trade one Boise State home game to CBS in exchange for one Boise State road conference game per year. If that is to happen this year I could see ESPN trying to trade the home game against Tennessee-Martin for the conference game on the road against Colorado State.

Forty-four games is not that many, so expect NBC Sports, ROOT SPORTS, Altitude and TimeWarner SportsNet to pick up most of the remaining games. Also, the Mountain West is setting up an online network to broadcast other events, so look for the FCS games to be viewed that way.

Bolded games are official, italicized are my projections. Some will be vague like ESPN family of networks or Fox family of networks. Regardless this is a fun exercise to see what games could be on TV.

Before we get to the entire schedule, lets look at what games CBS Sports would pick with their first eight selections. Following that will be the alternation between CBS Sports and ESPN.

There is my best guess of what the Mountain West television schedule will look like. There are still plenty of games to sell, and some decent games which include Air Force, San Jose State and Nevada that I feel would not get picked up under the 44 games between ESPN and CBS Sports Network.

So, let me know what you think, and provide some suggestions.

The Mountain West finally released their 2013 football schedule.

The Mountain West finally released their 2013 football schedule, yet times and television partners have yet to be named. That is expected to come later this spring, hopefully that happens soon. There will be plenty of time to break down the schedule to see who has a favorable, or unfavorable slate, and plain just over obsess over the schedule.

The key things to know off the bat are that there will be a Thursday or Friday night game each week of the season, and those games are more than likely going to be broadcast on ESPN.

Fresno State adds their third non-conference game to the 2015 season by adding FCS foe Abilene Christian.

The Fresno St. Bulldogs added their third non-conference opponent for the 2015 season when they added Abilene Christian to their slate. Not a high profile game out of any means since they are a FCS school, but it is a guaranteed win, and it provides a warm up to their fairly tough other non-conference games against Ole Miss and then Utah in consecutive weeks.

Abilene Christian is actually in the process of moving up from the Lone Star Conference at the Division II level, and will be moving to the Southland Conference later this summer. At the Division II level Abilene Christian was a good team which won their conference in 2008 and 2010. The move to Division II to the FCS level is a big jump and playing an above average FBS will be tough after just two recruiting classes of landing FCS talent.

This game will be played in Fresno State (of course) and take place on Sept. 5, 2015, plus it should be a game that they should easily win.

The Bulldogs 2015 non-conference schedule is set with three of their four games:

09/05 - Abilene Christian
09/12 - at Ole Miss
09/19 - Utah
