Boise State adds a JUCO offensive tackle to their lineup

Boise State has added a JUCO offensive tackle to its commit list according to a number of reports on Friday. Jergen Ertel, a huge, under the radar 6-foot-6, 275-pound OT out of Glendale CC, Glendale, Arizona also had offers from Georgia State, Southern Utah, North Dakota, and Indiana State. He was also getting some interest from several others that included Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State and New Mexico.

“Words cannot describe how excited I am,” Ertel told Scout.com and said that he committed on the spot when the offer was extended and says and intends to enroll in the spring. Ertel has gained more than 50 pounds since his first season at Glendale.

Boise State has been looking for good, experienced players who can offer an immediate presence on the offensive line. They lose 16 seniors next year and the offensive line will be hit hard. RG Travis Henry and RT Rees Odhiambo are the only two returning starters.
