Week 2 of Mountain West football was an improvement over Week 1, even if barely. In our latest podcast we talk about who our favorite players in the Mountain West this week and give out our power rankings. We both are very much think that Utah State has a shot at the Mountain West title since they host Boise State, a much improved Wyoming team and miss Fresno State unless they get to the title game. The toughest game could be the road tilt against San Jose State, and that could be the difference.

We discuss if any Mountain West player has a shot at going to New York City as a Heisman finalist. We decide between Chuckie Keeton and that should come as no shock as we both like him a lot, and the other is Derek Carr. We give the edge to Keeton due to a few more high profile games. A lot of people saw him play very well at Utah, they go to USC and host BYU. Fresno State doesn't have the type of big name games on the schedule. That is just a small part that goes into being a Heisman finalist, but at this point that is why Keeton gets our edge.

Wyoming gets some huge props for being able to destroy Idaho, and yes it is Idaho, but last year Wyoming could not even beat a FCS school. In our informal power rankings we both have Boise State, Utah State and Fresno State in some order or another between us, gotta listen to get the order there.
