Hope you REALLY like UNLV football, because Chris and myself discuss Rebel football, plus some Mountain West news, for a shade over one hour. That is also without a guest discussing the team. We both are cautiously optimistic that UNLV will save Bobby Hauck's job and get a few more wins than last year.

The offense should be fine which is led by running back Tim Cornett, quarterback Nick Sherry, wide receiver Devante Davis and an experienced offensive line. Rather it is the defense that needs to step up their game, and they do return 10 starters as well as a new offensive coordinator in Tim Hauck, yes Bobby Hauck's brother.

Tim played in the NFL for a decade, recently was the defensive backs coach with the Cleveland Browns and also coached at Montana with his brother. Not only does this Hauck have NFL experience he knows how Bobby coaches since the two were on that staff in Montana.

Despite 2012 being a stepping stone year for UNLV football where they were no longer being blown out by 40 points per game but rather were competitve in nearly every game, they now need to prove they can get the wins. The problem with that is that the wins may not come this year. A bowl game is almost certainly out of the question, but if they can get to four wins then Hauck will be back.

We also joke about a certain head coach in the Pac-12 who could replace Hauck if things go south, but you will have to listen to find out which one.

Also, why you are listening why not rate us on iTunes and give us a comment there to. You can say we are awesome (which is preferred) or say we are terrible and complain that you can not give us less than one star.

Here are your many ways to listen to the show: Obviously listen below, over at Sound Cloud, Stitcher Radio and also iTunes.
