The NFL finally released its official list for the NFL Combine and 11 Mountain West players made the list. A handful were known before hand but now the official list is out and with a few surprise omissions.
Earning an invite to the combine is usually a good indicator of being drafted, for the most part. The players included are worth of getting an invite but there were a few more players who should have earned an invite.
A sizable omission on the offensive side of the ball is Wyoming wide receiver Tanner Gentry and Boise State wide receiver Thomas Sperbeck.
A few other names that had big careers with the Mountain West who did not make the cut but possibly not an overly overt omission.
- Calvin Munson, LB, San Diego State
- Christian Tago, LB, San Jose State
- Weston Steelhammer, DB, Air Force
- Lucas Wacha, LB, Wyoming
- Ben Weaver, LB, Boise State
- Tau Lotulelei, LB, UNLV
- Dakota Cox, LB, New Mexico
If there are others that you think should have gotten an invite let us know.
The NFL combine begins at the end of the month from Feb. 28-March 6.
