The 2016 NFL Draft is finally here and it is not going to be at Radio Music City Hall in New York City but rather in Chicago for the three-day event. The first day of the draft is just the first round and looking around the mock drafts the odds of a Mountain West player going in the first round are slim, but not impossible.
Mock drafts are just projections and the few players from the conference that have been pegged in the first round both come from Boise State in defensive back Darian Thompson and linebacker Kamalei Correa. The former has not been associated in the first-round for a little bit of time, but Correa was recently projected to be taken with the 18th pick in Pro Football Talk's one and only mock draft.
Remember, it takes only one team to like a player that much to go much higher than expected.
