Darrell Greene, Guard, San Diego State

6'2 3/4, 321 pounds

Arm Length: 31 5/8 inches, Hand Size: 9 5/8 inches

40 Yard Dash: 5.20s, 20 Yard Shuttle: 4.98s, 3-Cone Drill: 8.07s

Vertical Jump: 22 1/2 inches, Broad Jump: 8-foot-3-inches, Bench Reps: 28

Position Rank: 11

Strengths: Putting aside the measurement numbers (which were less than ideal), he more than showed during the combine that he possesses NFL athletic (strength, speed, etc.) ability across the board. Very good run blocker as evident by the multiple 1,000 yard rushers he helped produce during his time at SDSU. Aggressive and explosive at the point of attack, has great strength and leverage. Battle tested starting 32 games during his collegiate career.

Weaknesses: Shorter than average arm length for the position is a cause for concern, especially when understanding the nature of line play in the league where arm action comes into play every snap. His six game suspension prior to the start of the 2015 college football season over positive marijuana test results has raised several questions regarding his character. Minor weight issues centered primarily on his soft midsection have cast doubt on his commitment to football.

Bottom Line: Greene ability to work his way back into the SDSU football program shows at least that he is self-aware and understood what he was about to lose. Going through the school drug program and gaining back the trust of his coaches is something he can point to as him learning from his mistake, in an otherwise clean resume. His lack of ideal size in certain areas already mentioned is what will hurt his draft stock more than the supposed character flaws.

Draft Projection: 6-7th Round Selection.
