Boise State linebacker Kamalei Correa officially declared for he NFL Draft on Christmas Eve after he signed a deal with the Chicago and Los Angeles-based Priority Sports. This was first reported by Chadd Cripe of the Idaho Statesman.

After the Poinsettia Bowl, in which he was the defensive MVP with two sacks, Correa said that he had to think about his future. This season he had a had a total of 39 tackles, 11 of were for a loss and seven sacks on the year. For his career with Boise State, Correa totaled to 70 tackles, 21 sacks and forced four fumbles.
Correa becomes the third consecutive Boise State player to leave school early for the NFL Draft. The others were Running back Jay Ajayi in 2015 who was selected in the fifth round by the Miami Dolphins, and the year prior Demarcus Lawrence was a second round pick by the Dallas Cowboys.
