Colorado State takes on Colorado in the Rocky Mountain Showdown which kicks at 6 p.m. MT on ESPN and also the WatchESPN app.

Here is a snippet from our preview on this game which features keys:

Quarterbacks: Edge CU

Even though Nick Stevens (the presumptive starter) set the Colorado State Rams sophomore record for passing yards, Sefo Liufau is still the better quarterback. Holding over 75 school records and needing just 12 yards to become CU's all time leading passer, Liufau has the intangibles to lead CU to victory.

Running Backs: Edge CSU

Colorado State has the edge in this matchup. The workhorse of the CSU offense will be relied upon once again. The past two years the Colorado State running backs have been able to run wild on the CU defense.

This year shouldn't be any different especially with an experienced front line in front of them. Look out for the three headed monster of Dalyn Dawkins, Izzy Matthews, and Marvin Kinsey.

The other game this evening is Cal Poly who is traveling to take on Nevada, which kicks at 7:30 p.m. MT on Campus Insiders.

From our Wolf Pack preview:

The key for Nevada on offense is getting a more consistent passing game from senior quarterback Tyler Stewart and the wide receiver group that returns talented seniors Hassan Henderson and Jerico Richardson. If the passing game gains consistency, then the Wolf Pack can be one of the best offenses in the conference.
