Let’s be honest here, nobody is giving the Colorado State Rams a chance versus the Boise State Broncos. Vegas has Boise as a 30+ point favorite. In order for the Rams to win a miracle would have to happen.

The Rams keys to the game are about keeping them in it.

Dictate The Game

Play the game the way the Rams want to play and force Boise to play that way. Boise is going to score, there’s no doubt about that. However they can be limited. The Rams must play to their strengths and try to find weaknesses in the Boise defense. On offense Bobo will probably have to go really deep in the playbook, pull some stuff out of the hat just to keep Boise honest and allow the Rams to play their offense and not become one dimensional.

Stevens Has To Make Plays

Collin Hill tore his ACL against Utah State. Nick Stevens came in, but really the running game was able to have their way in the second half. This game is all on Nick Stevens shoulders. He has to make the throws, no short throws, no long balls, no throws into triple coverage, etc. The Rams have the talent to play with most teams, they just have to make the plays.

Limit The Mistakes

The Rams will make mistakes, there are no questions about that. They just have to limit them and they have to answer when they do. The Rams have had trouble in sudden change situations on both sides of the ball. That has to change. The defense needs to step up when the Rams commit a turnover and the offense must take advantage when the Broncos turn the ball over.

Final Score

Boise State 38 - Rams 24
