Colorado, or better yet the refs, fumbled a chance to tie the game against Hawaii in the final seconds. The player to ref exchange was not crisp and time ran out.

Former Colorado State Rams running back Kapri Bibbs weighed in on this situation and offered the proper way to make sure this event would not occur.
Always hand the ball to the ref during 2 min

Excellent points about officials not having good hands and not tossing the ball to the ref, because in this instance the ball bounced off a Hawaii player racing to get onto the defensive side of the ball.
However, Colorado fans or people who are complaining about a botched call, well there will not be many, if any, to support this since the Buffaloes were given a fifth down against Missouri.
