Mountain West football Week 3: Time to push the panic button?

Time to overreact to how the Mountain West fared in Week 3, but the reality is more scary

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Again, this is an overreaction and knee-jerk write up this past week of Mountain West football.

Air Force: It's too bad you can't play the second stringers the whole game, other wise you would have won (refs also called uber tight game) -- Chris Hondros

Boise State: Ryan Finley is out and Brett Rypien looks to be better than Kellen Moore, and Jeremy McNichols is on pace to become Boise State's all-time leader in single-season touchdowns with 37, lock it up.

Colorado State: Why is it that Hawaii can only beat bad Pac-12 teams -- Chris Hondros

Fresno State: Here is a sneak peak of the QB depth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ OR (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ -- Matt Kenerly

Hawaii: Lets just go ahead and pencil them in for the West representative for the Mountain West title game.

New Mexico: Can we allow an exemption to get the Lobos to play 13 men on defense, because they could use the extra help. More realistically, get out and recruit some people who could play defense.

Nevada: Maybe Don Jackson should join Cirque du Soliel.

Wyoming: Can the Cowboys be allowed to score a touchdown if they get to the 20-yard line?

Utah State: It might be time to start looking at a different quarterback than Chuckie Keeton.

San Jose State: The quinterback is getting closer to happening with the Spartans, and by going this way they had a solid showing against Oregon State.

San Diego State: Is Chuck Long back coaching these Aztecs teams, and maybe San Diego State should become a travel partner for Idaho in the Sun Belt. Just a thought.
