There is no reason to focus on the West Division unless San Diego State loses, so we take a look in on the Mountain Division. Prior to this weeks games it was Utah State's division to lose, and they lost their control of the Mountain Division by succumbing to New Mexico, 14-13.
That lose for the Aggies means if they are to win the Mountain Division they need to win out and also have Boise State and New Mexico lose a game. This year the league has been all over the place with some of the results, but those are some long odds.
Boise State, New Mexico and Air Force are in control and the simple answer for who can represent the Mountain Division comes down to that whoever wins out will then get the bid.
Week 11 will feature Boise State hosting New Mexico with the winner of that game staying in first place. The other big game is Air Force hosting Utah State. If the Falcons and Broncos both win then the Nov. 20 between the two schools will give us a clear first place team in the division, and very well will decide who represents the Mountain Division.
