Ladies and Gentlemen, the regular season is over. (begin crying) BUT WAIT! It's bowl season!! And let me tell you, we have a lot of great bowl games. Potential conference champion San Diego State and underachieving teams like Boise State are all going to Bowl games.
Which team is going where, and did your team make the cut?
New Mexico:
New Mexico Bowl vs Central Michigan in Albuquerque, New Mexico. ESPN
New Mexico Bowl vs California in Albuquerque, New Mexico. ESPN
New Mexico Bowl vs Washington in Albuquerque, New Mexico. CBS Sports
New Mexico Bowl vs Central Michigan in Albuquerque, New Mexico. SB Nation
New Mexico is a very competitive and fun team to watch. They got to seven wins over the weekend putting up 47 points on an eight win Air Force team. Looks like Lobo fans won't have to travel far either.
San Diego State:
Las Vegas Bowl vs Washington State in Las Vegas, Nevada. ESPN
Las Vegas Bowl vs Washington State in Las Vegas, Nevada. ESPN
Las Vegas Bowl vs Washington State in Las Vegas, Nevada. CBS Sports
Poinsettia Bowl vs Arizona in San Diego, California. SB Nation
Las Vegas Bowl seems to a common trend for SDSU, but three straight against Washington State? Any game on the board right now would be great for the Aztecs, all power five teams.
San Jose State:
Cure Bowl vs Tulsa in Orlando, Florida (Citrus Bowl). ESPN
St. Petersburg Bowl vs South Florida in St. Petes, Florida. CBS Sports
St. Petersburg vs UConn in St. Petes, Florida. SB Nation
Can the 5-7 Spartans get into the bowl season?!?! They're in three out of the four so the experts seem pretty confident. Even though they lost by 17 in their previous game vs Boise State, Spartans could be bowling.
Nevada:
Potato Bowl vs Ohio in Boise, Idaho. ESPN
Heart of Dallas Bowl vs Southern Miss in Dallas, Texas. ESPN
Quick Lane Bowl vs Central Michigan in Detroit, Michigan. CBS Sports
Arizona Bowl vs Marshall in Tuscon, Arizona. SB Nation
They were unable to get to the seven win mark last weekend, but a 6-6 Nevada team WILL be going bowling. This is great for the Mountain West, getting as many teams in the bowl season as possible.
Boise State:
Potato Bowl vs Akron in Boise, Idaho. ESPN
Poinsettia Bowl vs Northern Illinois in San Diego, California. ESPN
Poinsettia Bowl vs Western Michigan in San Diego, California. CBS Sports
Potato Bowl vs Toledo in Boise, Idaho. SB Nation
Boise State won't even be playing a power five team this bowl season most likely, which is sad. The pride of the Mountain West has taken a step back, and every Bronco fan can't wait until the 2016 campaign.
Air Force:
Poinsettia Bowl vs Northern Illinois in San Diego, California. ESPN
Armed Forces Bowl vs Washington in Fort Worth, Texas. ESPN
Armed Forces Bowl vs Nebraska in Fort Worth, Texas. CBS Sports
Armed Forces Bowl vs Arizona State in Fort Worth, Texas. SB Nation
I can't be the only one who loves to see military academies play well. The Falcons are going bowling and the eight win team could be playing in great venues and against great teams.
Utah State:
Foster Farms Bowl vs USC in Santa Clara, California. ESPN
Armed Forces Bowl vs Washington in Fort Worth, Texas. ESPN
Arizona Bowl vs Louisiana Tech in Tuscon, Arizona. CBS Sports
Cure Bowl vs USF in Orlando, Florida. SB Nation
The Aggies are currently in four different bowl games so don't buy your tickets just yet Utah State fans. Currently praying for a Foster Farms bowl match-up with USC. Please.
Colorado State:
Arizona Bowl vs Arizona in Tuscon, Arizona. ESPN
Arizona Bowl vs Arizona in Tuscon, Arizona. ESPN
Potato Bowl vs Northern Illinois in Boise, Idaho. CBS Sports
Hawaii Bowl vs Tulsa in Honolulu, Hawaii. SB Nation
The rams snuck out a victory over three win Fresno State, but a wins a win. A trip to Hawaii would be nice for Mike Bobo and company but playing a Power 5 team would be great too. Tucson and Honolulu are the same thing right?
