Mountain West title game 2015: San Diego State to host against Air Force

The Mountain West title game will be hosted by San Diego State after their undefeated conference season.

It came down to the final week of the season to determine who would host the Mountain West title game between San Diego State and Air Force. The Aztecs were hosting Nevada and did their part in defeating the Wolf Pack to finish 8-0 in conference play, but Air Force stumbled to New Mexico on the road to finish with a 6-2 conference record.

The Falcons loss means that the Aztecs will host their first-ever conference title game within the Mountain West this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The league used the old BCS computer formula to determine who host since neither division winner was in the College Football Playoff rankings, and there was no head-to-head matchup between these two schools this year.

The Aztecs clinched the West Division on Nov. 21 with their 52-14 victory at UNLV. SDSU, and the Falcons captured the Mountain Division after a 37-30 victory at Boise State on Nov. 20.
