Week 6 Mountain West Bowl Projections: New Mexico in a bowl game?

Another week is in the books so we gather from the web to see what Mountain West teams are projected to go bowling. There are a few names that are normally not seen like UNLV, San Jose State and New Mexico.

San Jose State:

New Mexico Bowl vs Rice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. ESPN

New Mexico Bowl vs Middle Tennessee State in Albuquerque, New Mexico. ESPN

Independence Bowl vs Mizzou in Shreveport, Louisiana. SB Nation

I really like San Jose State and so do a lot of people.  Very high chance to see them in the New Mexico Bowl if things keep going good.

Boise State:

Las Vegas Bowl vs Oregon in Las Vegas, Nevada. ESPN

Fiesta Bowl vs Notre Dame in Glendale, Arizona. ESPN

Fiesta Bowl vs Utah in Glendale, Arizona. CBS Sports

Las Vegas Bowl vs Oregon in Las Vegas, Nevada. SB Nation

I don't know about you guys, but I would love to see Boise in the Fiesta Bowl.  Mountain West teams in this game are very important, but them playing Oregon would be sweet too.

Nevada:

Idaho Potato Bowl vs Bowling Green in Boise, Idaho. ESPN

Idaho Potato Bowl vs Akron in Boise, Idaho. CBS Sports

Can't lose to Wyoming next week.  Nevada wins that one, only two away from bowl eligibility.  Could be a trap game for the Wolf Pack.

San Diego State:

Idaho Potato Bowl vs Western Michigan in Boise, Idaho. ESPN

Poinsettia Bowl vs Western Michigan in San Diego, California. ESPN

Arizona Bowl vs Louisiana Tech in Tuscon, Arizona. CBS Sports

Poinsettia Bowl vs Illinois in San Diego, California. SB Nation

A very exciting game next week for the Aztecs vs San Jose State after beating Hawaii.  I'll be watching.

Utah State:

Poinsettia Bowl vs USC in San Diego, California. ESPN

Hawaii Bowl vs Houston in Honolulu, Hawaii. ESPN

Poinsettia Bowl vs Ohio in San Diego, California. CBS Sports

Arizona Bowl vs Rice in Tuscon, Arizona. SB Nation

They killed Fresno State.  They're going to make a bowl game, but which one?  I think vs USC would be very intriguing and a chance for the MW to take over the PAC.

Colorado State:

Arizona Bowl vs Southern Miss in Tuscon, Arizona. ESPN

Armed Forces Bowl vs Nebraska in Fort Worth, Texas. ESPN

New Mexico Bowl vs Rice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. CBS Sports

Potato Bowl vs Bowling Green in Boise, Idaho. SB Nation

They better beat Air Force if they want to keep hopes in Fort Collins semi high.  They got throttled but can they bounce back?

UNLV:

Arizona Bowl vs South Alabama in Tuscon, Arizona. ESPN

Air Force:

Armed Forces Bowl vs Indiana in Fort Worth, Texas. ESPN

Well if they get in they're going to be playing in Fort Worth it looks like.  All good opponents as of now, Indiana probably preferred.

New Mexico:

Another 3-3 Mountain West team.  Like a lot of other teams, need things to go their way in the next couple of weeks.
