2016 Hawaii Football Recruiting: Monstrous DL Viane Moala signs LOI to Hawaii

The Rainbow Warriors land a 6'7" giant to play on their defensive line in 2016.

University of Hawaii Football

The Rainbow Warriors will be getting one of the top linemen in American Samoa, Viane Moala. While playing for Tafuna High School, he was selected to play in the Polynesian All-American Bowl.

Moala was also a standout on defense at the JPS Paradise Classic along with fellow UH recruit, Scheyenne Sanitoa.

It is entirely rare for Hawaii to get a player of his size to play on their defensive line, which has been largely undersized during the Norm Chow era. With a history of injuries on the line, Moala may be called upon in 2016 to step in immediately. His size definitely gives him a leg up over most incoming freshman.

Moala was rated as a two-star recruit by Scout.

His position: DL

His measurables: All his measurements are from the University of Hawaii Football website.
