Recruiting is an inexact science but it can measure success. We went ahead and took a look back at the recruiting data of all Mountain West teams dating back to 2002. These charts include how many wins each class had and also the star ratings and rankings of each class.
Just look at Boise State between 2002 and 2010 where each class had over 40 wins, or at least 10 per year -- yet they never had a class ranked in the top 75. Then there is Utah State whose recruiting never really got all that better under Gary Anderson as it was in the 100 range, yet wins started piling up with not an uptick in recruiting.
Have fun and get lost looking at this data and comparing your team over the past decade plus of data.
