Colorado State vs Fresno State Preview: Streaking Bulldogs look to improve tournament prospects

The Fresno State Bulldogs look to win their fifth straight against the struggling Colorado State Rams.

The Fresno State Bulldogs (20-9, 11-5) are looking for their fifth straight win and also a chance lock up second place in the Mountain West Conference. Meanwhile the Colorado State Rams (15-14,7-9) are looking to salvage what remains of their disappointing season although the have beaten the Bulldogs three of the last four times they have met.

The Bulldogs are led by Mountain West Player of the Week Marvelle Harris. The senior guard is coming off a monster performance against New Mexico where he scored 32 points and had 10 assists to lead the Bulldogs to their first ever win in Albuquerque. He has averaged 26 points and 7.5 assists over his last two games.

The stat sheet tells the story of the Rams season. Head coach Larry Eustachy’s club leads the conference in scoring with almost 80 points a game but they are also dead last in defense giving up almost 78 points a game. One bright spot for the Rams has been the play of junior forward Emmanuel Omogbo. He has a double-double in his last three games.
