Boise State will put their seven-game winning streak on the line Wednesday night as they welcome the Air Force Falcons into Taco Bell Arena. Air Force is coming off a surprising 73-50 win against Wyoming, who by the way currently sit at the top of the conference.
For the Broncos, it all started almost a month ago on January 13 when they knocked off UNLV in overtime. They will begin tonight's game second in the conference behind Wyoming and San Diego State who are tied for first currently. Boise fans were in denial when their team went 0-3 to start conference play, but that was 2014.
Here in 2015, they make a serious case for an NCAA bid. Boise State’s last eight games are all winnable, so going into the Mountain West conference with 20 plus wins will be key.
Air Force has played good games with almost every team, but just don't have enough talent to compete with some of the top teams. They can win this game if they play how they did against Wyoming by scoring more points than what they're averaging (66.5) and out-rebound on the offensive glass.
Players To Watch:
Boise State: Derrick Marks is currently my front runner for conference player of the year. In his last three games he has scored 19 or more points, so don't look for that personal streak to come to an end.
Air Force: Matt Mooney had 12 bench points in 23 minutes including going 2-4 from long range. Can he provide the spark the Falcons need to pull off the upset?
How to Watch: Mountain West Network
Prediction: The streak lives on!! Boise State-78 Air Force-63
