The Aggies (7-5) look to start strong in conference play as they take on the San Jose State Spartans (2-10). The Spartans wins come against two NAIA teams in Bethesda and St. Kathrine which, if you believe the internet, has only 85 students enrolled. San Jose is still at the begining of its rebuilding process under second year head coach Dave Wojcik. Also it is unclear if any of five suspended Spartans will return for this game. Four of the five suspended players were starters who accounted for an average of 42.1 PPG which accounts for nearly 75% of the teams scoring.
This young Utah State team has had an up and down season so far with some good come from behind victories and some tough road losses. Their average loss is by only 6 points and includes overtime losses against UC Davis and South Dakota State. The Aggies are led by the duo of Jalen Moore (15.3 PPG, 7.2 RBG) and David Collette (14.6, 5.3). Utah State looks to be the better team although young and inconsistent. I believe the Aggies will pull away in the second half for and easy win 69-55.
