Team USA has dominated at the World University Games with an all-time record of 140-11, but the 2013 team let its country down by failing to make it out of pool play. The United States fell to Canada, 94-85, to finish with a 3-2 record in pool play, and now can no longer finish better than ninth place.

Canada dominated Team USA down in the paint by outscoring them 52-22, and despite that New Mexico's Alex Kirk played just two minutes. With Kirk being a very good big man one would think that Team USA head coach Bob McKillop of Davidson would use the skills of Kirk.

With this loss, Team USA next faces Norway Sunday morning at 2 a.m. ET.

As for Australia, they needed little help from Cameron Bairstow who scored just four points in seven minutes in their 131-43 easy win over the United Arab Emirates. Boise State's Igor Hadziomerovic earned some extra playing time in this game and took advantage of that by scoring 14 points in just 18 minutes.

Australia next takes on Lithuania who went 5-0 in pool playt at 12:30 p.m. ET, also on Sunday.
