NCAA selection show open thread: Where will Mountain West teams be seeded

The NCAA tournament selection show begins at 6 p.m. ET on CBS. The Mountain West will get four teams at a minimum, and probably the five. The only real question is if the selection committee will reward the Mountain West teams for playing in a league that is considered the best conference.

Well, there is one question about Boise State, but they should get in and if they don' it will be a shame in my opinion. The Broncos have an RPI of 41, 8-8 against top-100 teams and 4-7 against top-50 teams. That should be enough to make the tournament.

If the Mountain West is going to get the respect from the selection committee they will need to have three teams placed as an upper seed. Those teams should be New Mexico, Colorado State and UNLV. New Mexico should be a No. 2 seed at worst and UNLV has an outside shot of a four seed, but five at a worst. Colorado State is interesting is because they were 11-7 against the RPI top 100 -- 3-7 against top-50 and 8-0 against 51 through 100 -- however the Dorian Green injury could give the selection committee second thoughts.
