2013 Mountain West tournament: Updates, schedule, odds

The quarterfinals are set for the Mountain West tournament, and now the fun can begin.

The second day of the Mountain West tournament gets underway in a few hours with UNLV hosting Air Force in a critical game first round game, well all games are critical.

With the quarterfinals set TeamRankings.com came out with a new set of odds on who will advance, and how far:

Seed Team Quarter Semi Champ Win
3 UNLV -- 85.81% 59.11% 39.45%
1 New Mexico -- 77.30% 43.41% 19.57%
2 Colorado St -- 80.79% 33.41% 17.82%
4 San Diego St -- 57.91% 30.80% 13.01%
5 Boise State -- 42.09% 19.30% 6.83%
8 Wyoming -- 22.70% 6.48% 1.36%
6 Air Force -- 14.19% 4.41% 1.25%
7 Fresno St -- 19.21% 3.07% 0.71%

Not much has changed from the initial projections, UNLV is still a heavy favorite. However, one oddity is that Wyoming has a nearly 1-in-4 chances of getting past top seeding New Mexico, and that seems a bit generous even with Wyoming having Leonard Washington at full strength. Perhaps it is because Washington is back in the lineup and he can hang with the power forwards of New Mexico.

Here is the rest of the tournament schedule:
