New Mexico closes exhibtion season with 92-70 win
In their final exhibition game of the 2012-13 season, New Mexico welcomed back center Alex Kirk and overcame a second half punctuated by rough, disruptive play to defeat Division II New Mexico Highlands at The Pit in Albuquerque Monday night.

New Mexico got 22 points a piece from juniors Cameron Bairstow and Demterius Walker to open the 2012-13 season Wednesday night with a 105-64 win over Victory University of Tennessee Wednesday night at The Pit in Albuquerque.

UNM's Fenton suspended 3 games for minor violation
New Mexico reserve guard Jamal Fenton will miss the first three games of the 2012-13 basketball season due to a minor NCAA rules violation regarding impermissible benefits, UNM announced Monday.
