Mountain West regular season champion Fresno State plays their first game of the conference tournament (3 p.m. MT) where they will face No. 5 seeded Air Force. The Falcons advanced by having an offensive outburst to top UNLV, 15-7.
In the regular season Fresno State easily took care of Air Force by winning all six games this year and by a composite score of 45-14. So, on paper it looks like the Bulldogs should win this game but in the post season anything can happen.
Fresno State is expected to start Mountain West co-pitcher of the year in Jimmy Lambert who went 8-0 for the Bulldogs with an ERA of 2.65 and struck out 55 batters.
