San Diego State and UNLV are in a do-or-die game in the Mountain West tournament. The Aztecs ended up here after moving past San Jose State in the play-in game where they used a walk-off grand slam to beat the Spartans, 7-3, to make it into the main bracket.
Then the defending tournament champions matched up against Nevada and the Aztecs lost 15-7. UNLV had one game on Wednesday and gave up way too many runs as they fell to Air Force, 15-7.
The Mountain West bracket favors the higher seeds remaining so the winner will not know their opponent until all of Thursday games are played, but the winner will play the first game on Friday at 11 a.m. and will play the lowest seed which loses on Thursday. That eliminates everyone but Fresno State who has the No. 1 overall seed.
