A look at this weekend's baseball action in the Mountain West for this weekend.
San Jose State vs No. 22 Nevada
The Wolf Pack return to the friend confines of Peccole Park to face the San Jose State Spartans. The Wolf Pack lead the Mountain West after sweeping the Aztecs last weekend. Nevada's offense is led by senior Austin Byler who has the highest on base percentage in the nation at .532.
Air Force vs UNLV
The Rebels dropped two of three last weekend to New Mexico and also loss to UC Riverside during the week and now welcome an Air Force team that have won four of their last five games and are led by Adam Groesbel who leads the Mountain West with 18 stolen bases and is hitting .373.
San Diego State vs Fresno State
The Aztecs square off against the Bulldogs this weekend as the San Diego State have lost four games in a row. (A sweep by Nevada and a midweek loss to Cal State Northridge) The Aztecs hope to rely the great play of Danny Sheehan. In the last five games, Sheehan has hit safely on base and during that time is hitting .389 with a home run, a double, five RBI and four runs scored in . This is an important series for the Bulldogs as they are only one game back from the Aztecs in the loss column as they look to gain ground and win their first ever series against the Aztecs since joining the Mountain West.
New Mexico vs Wichita State
The Lobos go out of conference this weekend to face a Wheatshockers program that is struggling this year. The Lobos have won eight of their last nine games and have been propelled by their offense which has outscored opponents 85-26 in the last nine games. The Lobos pitching staff (led by Tyler Stevens and Toller Boardman) should have no issues with a Wichita team that is only hitting .263 as a team.
