NCAA Is Visiting Oregon

1

Looks like there is some truth to the rumor about Oregon possibly facing NCAA sanctions. Short version is that the Oregon football program paid more than $28,000 to Will Lyles and Baron Flenory, men who've had personal associations with recent Ducks signees. The two men ran scouting camps for Oregon and that is where things get uncertain if what went down was legal and if Lyles and Flenory steered players to Oregon.

Excerpt: Short of the most egregious cases, such as instances where a perpetrator is a predator among other students, the imperfect should be worked with and helped toward abiding by the code. They should not be expelled, or banished, or kicked off the basketball team for even a series of moral transgressions.
