It’s another week of the Mountain West Recruiting Roundup.

We are now heading into the month of June and expect recruiting to pick up. Offers will continue to be handed out during recruiting camps and that will lead to new commitments. Plus, official visits on the weekends will do the same.

This week, there were far fewer offers than last week, but there were still at least 38 new offers. There were also two new commitments, with both of them belonging to Air Force. The Falcons will take the cover photo this week.

Class of 2025 Cover Photo Total:

  • Air Force: 4
  • Boise State: 2
  • Fresno State: 1
  • San Diego State: 2
  • San Jose State: 2
  • Utah State: 1

Recruiting Camps:

June is a big recruiting month, because that’s when teams usually do their recruiting camps. A major benefit of camps are recruits having the opportunity to be assessed by coaches in different areas like their talent, size, ability to be coached, attitude, character, and work ethic. It also leads to a number of offers and commitments.

Below is a list of the known dates teams will be hosting their camps. As always, it’s same to assume there are more camps than listed here. This does not include all the mega camps teams may be part of.

Air Force:

Boise State: June 9, 10, 11, 12

Colorado State: June 9, 10, 11, 12, July 27

Fresno State: May 30, June 8, 15, 22

Hawaii:

Nevada: June 16, 22

New Mexico:

San Diego State: June 8, 9, 14, 15, 16

San Jose State: June 10, 11

UNLV: June 14, 15, 21, 22

Utah State:

Wyoming: June 8 and 21

Recruiting Notes:

Brad Odom, the Director of Player Personnel for UNLV, tweets out recruiting notes every Tuesday:

Taking a break for June.

Recruiting Calendar:

From yesterday through Wednesday the 29th, there is a dead period. Then from May 30th through June 23rd, we will be in a Quiet Period. This will be a time where many teams will host official visitors on campus. It will also lead to many verbal commitments, so expect a busy June in the recruiting department.

Next College Student Athlete says:

The NCAA defines the quiet period as a time when “a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents off the college campus and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high school.” To break it down, the NCAA Quiet Period is a time you can talk to college coaches in-person on their college campus. However, the coach is not allowed to watch athletes compete in-person, visit their school, talk to them at their home—or talk to them anywhere outside of the college campus. Coaches can still text, call, email or direct message coaches during this time.

Air Force Commitment Tracker:

Since the Air Force Academy regularly has by far the most commits among Mountain West recruiting classes, it’s fun to track them over the course of the year.

Number of Falcon verbal commits: 12
