It’s Monday, Bowl games were played this past weekend and bowl games will be played this weekend. Plus, college basketball is up and running. Through it all, the content keeps going. Check out our original coverage and what we can find from the World Wide Web below.

Fresno State tops New Mexico State in convincing fashion.

The Bulldogs came in as underdogs but nothing about the flow of the game would have shown that. They came out and dominated for most of the game, as the offense went over 500 yards looking more like the September version of themselves rather than the November one. Mikey Keene had perhaps his best game of the year and looked fully healthy with 380 yards and 4 TDs. The players credited acting coach Tim Skipper for the pre-game inspiration and helping them end the year with a win after losing their last three regular season games.

Broncos jump out to early lead, then unravel against Bruins.

For the first half, the Boise State strategy of using the two start running backs and hiding the true freshman quarterback making his first start was a good one. However, in the second half, UCLA went to Ethan Garbers, their passing quarterback, and the weak secondary was no match. The Bruins turned a 16-7 halftime deficit into a 28-16 lead thanks to the arm of Garbers. The Bronco offense did all it could, but the real story was the veteran defense could not figure out how to get to the quarterback or slow down the passing game, which looked effortless in the second half.

Coach Norvell talks NIL and transfers.

Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell claimed many of his players have been contacted by other schools and offered six-figure NIL money to transfer away. He’s annoyed by the offers coming at his top players and laments the decision-making impacted college football. He is among the coaches saying something needs to be done to handle the wildness of the portal and NIL in today’s game. Coach Norvell says he spent the first two weeks of the offseason recruiting his current roster rather than devoting full attention to recruiting other players.
