It’s the Monday Edition and the road to the football conference championship game became a whole lot clearer after this weekend’s action. Get caught up on with recaps of the big games played along with some basketball news. Enjoy!!
UNLV comes in as 28th, Fresno State still receiving votes as well.
It’s been an emotional couple of weeks for the Broncos. First, star receiver Eric McAlister leaves the team after a loss to Fresno State, then Head Coach Andy Avalos is let go after a solid victory over New Mexico last week. See how the team rallied behind interim head coach Spencer Danielson.
The Falcons had a dominant first half but couldn’t finish in what has been a recurrent theme lately. Once the conference leader not too long ago, they now need several things to happen to gain a berth in the conference championship game.
Fresno State came into the game as 23.5 pt favorites, but couldn’t stop the New Mexico rushing attack in the 25-17 loss that took the Bulldogs out of defending their football championship. Head Coach Jeff Tedford gave his thoughts after the game.
The Brady Hoke Era appears to be driving on just rims as they traveled to San Jose and came up short. All that is left on the season is Senior Night next week in Hoke’s finale.
The Ram QB shook off a rough middle stretch of the game as the Wolf Pack cut a 17 point deficit to 3. He played strong down the stretch as Colorado State now just one win from becoming bowl-eligible in Head Coach Jay Norvell’s second season at the helm.
