WYOMING @ UNLV
Location: Laramie, Wyoming (War Memorial Stadium)
Date/Time: Saturday, November 18th at 12:00 PM (Mountain Time)
Television: Mountain West Network
Streaming: You’ll need a cable log-in but the game will be streamed here.
Wyoming (6-4, 3-3 MW) returns to Laramie for their last home game of the season, where they will take on the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors (4-7, 2-4 MW).
It is the last home game for many seniors, including starting quarterback, Andrew Peasley.
At this point in the season, the Cowboys have nothing else to play for except a better bowl bid. The hopes and dreams of making the Mountain West Championship have diminished completely with their loss to UNLV last week.
On the other hand, Hawai’i helped play spoiler for Air Force last week, knocking the Falcons down to just two losses.
Hawai’i has the momentum, and Wyoming looks like it’s preparing for next year.
Key to the Game:
Don’t stoop to your competition
You got handed a couple of easy ones to close out the season, now play like they are easy games. This upcoming offseason has so much in store, go out with a bang and go get yourself a good bowl game.
Hawai’i is not a good team. They beat Air Force last week, but this should not have to be a game the Cowboys sweat very hard.
If there’s anything about Wyoming, it’s that they’re going to play close against lesser opponents. We saw this against New Mexico, App State, and even Colorado State to an extent.
Prediction
Coming in at a 13.5-point favorite, I think it’s gotta be the Cowboys. The end is near for Andrew Peasley, and heck, Coach Bohl could be playing his last few games on the sideline.
This team wants to end off on a high note, and I say they win 31-7, their first real blowout win of the year.
