It’s hump day, and signing day is just two weeks away. Plus, bowl games are this weekend and basketball games are happening constantly. To get all of that a bit quicker, take a look at today’s links, plus the content coming your way on our site.

Basketball rankings.

Chris Murray is still at it during basketball season, and maybe has a tougher job at the top of the conference rather than the bottom. He has New Mexico leading the charge with Utah State right behind them. SDSU is ahead of undefeated UNLV, with Boise State at 5th. Colorado State and Wyoming are 8th and 9th, but with the latter likely to climb once they overcome injuries. Despite their pretty good record, Air Force is last, mainly due to their weak stretch of schedule (362 out of 363).

Emily Kohan will lead Rams volleyball.

Replacing the winningest volleyball coach in Colorado State history will be no easy task. However, the Rams are going straight to the source in order to try it. Associate coach Emily Kohan was officially named the new head coach after spending the past seven seasons learning the ropes from Tom Hilbert, who retired last month after 24 years leading the team. Emily also had a standout playing career at Iowa.

Broncos OC search nearing a conclusion.

Head coach Andy Avalos was surprisingly open about the search for a new offensive coordinator in his press conference on Monday. While he didn’t name any names, it sounds like the candidate will be announced between Sunday and Wednesday of next week. This likely means someone is already hired or it is narrowed down to the final candidates. It is also very likely the pending hire is finishing up a bowl game or they are waiting til they finish their bowl game. Avalos also said the pool of candidates has been filled with bigger names than two years ago, in large part due to the talented young offensive players and the commitment of the AD to increase the salary for the spot.
