It’s hump day and a weekend full of games is coming. To get there a bit quicker, take a look at today’s links plus the content coming your way on our site.
Chris Murray’s rankings.
In his rankings this week, he has Boise State and Fresno State as the top two, citing that it took a bit for the preseason picks to rise to the top but both are finally playing like the division winners they were projected to be. Wyoming seems to be a bit low at fourth, and he probably picks more with his heart when he lists Nevada at 11th over New Mexico. But other than that, the rankings are pretty spot on.
Rebels set to get key player(s) back.
There are a few reasons why UNLV was winning a lot earlier in the year and have been struggling lately. But one of those reasons has been injuries to key players. This week, Coach Arroyo announced that starting QB Doug Brumfield is practicing this week and is set to play this coming weekend. As for other injured players, WR Kyle Williams and RB Aidan Robbins, things are less certain but they are also progressing. The Rebels have to win two of their final four games to become bowl eligible.
Cowboys getting needed rest.
The bye week is beneficial no matter when it occurs on the schedule, but sometimes it’s extra beneficial. That is the case for Wyoming this week, as they endured a long trip to and from Hawaii, escaping with a tough-fought victory. The extra time is always an opportunity to get healthy and according to Coach Bohl, it sounds like they need it as quite a few players have some bump, bruises, and other injuries. We will see in a week and a half.

Aggies AD resigns.
Spoke to Utah State AD John Hartwell. He said he resigned from Utah State last night to move his family back to the South. “We had a great run at Utah State,” he told ESPN. “It’s time to make sure my family comes first.”
