We have now seen every Mountain West team in action and with that we have already seen some amazing performances. Here are our players of the week from the first full week of college football.

Offensive Player of the Week

Carson Strong

It wasn’t Strong’s best performance, but he got the job done and made big passes when the game was on the line. Strong finished with over 300 yards and two touchdowns. The Wolf Pack and Strong should continue to build momentum as they host Idaho State this weekend.

Honorable Mention: Jake Haener, Greg Bell, Deven Thompkins

Defensive Player of the Week

Tyric LeBeauf

I’m not a huge fan of picking players from losing teams, but LeBeauf was the main reason the Broncos were still in the game late. LeBeauf interecepted two passes, including a 100 yard return for a touchdown and another one he returned deep into UCF territory.

Honorable Mention: Jojuan Claiborne, Justin Rice, Tyson Maeva, Cameron Thomas

Special Teams Player of the Week

Connor Coles

First Power Five road victory in more than 50 years and they couldn’t have done it without their kicker. Coles nailed all three of his attempts including a long of 39.

Honorable Mention: Joel Velazquez, Abraham Montano
