Nevada wide receiver Elijah Cooks will miss the remainder of the season with a Lisfranc foot injury, Nevada Sports Net’s Chris Murray reported Monday.

Cooks, a “super senior”, was the only Pack player with multiple touchdown catches through three games with four. He was also top-4 on the team receptions (13), receiving yards (157) and yards per reception (12.1). His four touchdowns trailed only Fresno State’s Jalen Cropper (8) for the Mountain West’s lead.

Cooks, standing at 6-foot-4, was one of the Wolf Pack’s top pass catchers entering the 2021 season — along with Romeo Doubs and Cole Turner. Cooks topped the team in receptions (76), receiving yards (926) and receiving touchdowns (8) in 2019 before missing all but one of Nevada’s nine games last season due to a shoulder injury.

Murray also reported that starting safety Tyson Williams, who has just six tackles in two games, will be out for a couple of weeks with a knee injury.

This is a breaking news story. It will be updated as new information becomes available.
