We are at the mid-point of the week and actually Mountain West football games are within reach. As always, the links press on. Check out what is coming your way today as the links press on.
Oversight Committee expanding signing limit?
The NCAA has had a busy year already, with NIL rulings and allowing a one-time transfer rule for athletes. Now, the next big change may be expanding the 25 player scholarship limit. This is largely due to the increased number of players transferring and so many not being able to find new homes, because transfers count as recruiting, the same as high school players do. Each year, some teams have openings on the 85-player roster that can’t be filled due to already taking 25 players in a recruiting class. Like with everything, each solution poses a new problem.
Spartans Charge!
San Jose State made an announcement last night that they are starting The Charge. This will be the first college program to own a station that will allow for programming 24 hours per day, seven days a week. It’s innovative and geared at promoting all of their athletic programs. The Charge will produce San José State athletic contests, podcasts, all-access show segments, coaches shows. Also, it will indirectly benefit student NIL, as student-athletes from all teams can share their stories in an effort to enhance their opportunities with Name, Image and Likeness.
Rams schedule their opening game.
Source: Colorado State will open the 21-22 season on November 9th in Fort Collins against Oral Roberts. Heck of an opening night matchup for both programs.

B1G/ACC/PAC12 “Alliance”
Not MWC related but it pertains to college football and it’s ridiculous.
More to come later, possibly, but what we've learned about The Alliance so far:
— Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) August 24, 2021
-- No signed contract, but they trust each other.
-- Haven't figured out what their scheduling alliance will look like.
-- Haven't decided yet if they support the 12-team CFP model.
