NCAA Football: Boise State at UNLV Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

It’s Monday and it’s game week! Week 0 is upon us and quite a few Mountain West teams will be playing this coming weekend. Check out the latest Mountain West and college sports-related news from around the web, plus the original content we have coming your way this week.

Broncos named Bachmeier starting QB, again.

Junior quarterback Hank Bachmeier is no stranger to pre-season quarterback battles. In fact, it’s all he has ever known in college. But he emerged as the starter for the third year in a row, beating out Jack Sears for the top spot. Can he lead Boise State back to the MWC championship game?

Bugg III is back and ready.

Air Force DB Milton Bugg III possesses a fantastic name and great football skills. After making use of a turnback last season, he returned home to take a step back and focus on his areas of improvement. He is stronger physically and sharper mentally, dedicated a lot of time to film study and identifying growth areas. Tre, as he is known, is committed to making himself a great tackler this season.

The Athletic’s Mountain West preview.

Chris Vannini’s preview series highlights the MWC in his latest post. He highlights the coaching turnover the past two seasons and how the conference has three strong teams at the top. The post addresses the top OOC games for needed exposure and the biggest conference matchups that will decide who plays in the championship. It adds Fresno State may be the surprise team in the conference.

Restrictions announced in Hawaii.
