The preseason award watch lists keep stacking up for the Nevada Wolf Pack!

A nation-most three Nevada players — Romeo Doubs, Cole Turner and Elijah Cooks — made the preseason Biletnikoff Award watch list, it was announced Thursday.

Nevada was the only program in the nation with three such players making the list. Those with multiple include USC (Drake London, Tahj Washington), SMU (Rashee Rice, Reggie Roberson Jr.), Iowa State (Charle Kolar, Xavier Hutchinson), Ohio State (Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson), Texas Tech (Kaylon Geiger, Erik Ezukanma) and Oklahoma (Marvin Mims, Mike Woods).

Doubs, an All-Mountain West first team honoree was the Mountain West’s best receiver last season. He was the conference’s leader in receptions (58) and its only 1,000-yard receiver (1,002).

Doubs and Turner tied for a Mountain West-most nine touchdowns. Five of Doubs’ touchdowns came from beyond 50 yards, while a conference-most eight of Turner’s nine touchdowns were within the red-zone. Turner finished with 49 catches for 605 receiving yards — both were the second-best marks on the Pack.

Cooks’ season was limited to just one half after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury, which required surgery. He finished with just two catches for 24 yards. Despite not making an All-Conference squad, Cooks was the Wolf Pack’s best target in 2019, tallying a team-high 76 receptions for 926 yards and eight scores. Each placed within the Top-6 of the Mountain West.
