Lawson Hall became the third Wolf Pack player to make a preseason award watch list Monday, joining quarterback Carson Strong and wideout Romeo Doubs.
On Monday, Hall made the preseason watch list for the Bednarik Award, given annually to the nation’s best defensive player of the year.
He was one of eight Mountain West players to earn such honors — joining San Diego State’s Cameron Thomas and Caden McDonald, along reigning Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year Cade Hall (SJSU), Utah State’ Justin Rice, Hawai’i’s Darius Muasau, Colorado State’ Scott Patchan and Wyoming’s Chad Muma.
Hall, earning second-team All Mountain West honors last season, tallied a team-high 65 tackles with 8.5 tackles-for-loss and three sacks.
Hall was named to Pro Football Focus’ All-Mountain West first team, Athlon Sports’ second team and Phil Steele’s third team.
