Welcome to another edition of Mountaintop View. It may be the offseason but there is no shortage of news around the conference.

Supreme Court rules against NCAA

New Supreme Court ruling puts an end to the NCAA’s limits on education-related benefits for athletes. Athletes cannot be barred from receiving cash or cash-equivalent awards based on academic achievements. Note that this is different from NIL. This is a big step for college athletes and fair compensation.

4 new commitments push Boise St. to the top

Boise State has added even more talent to their recruiting class, the Broncos have landed 3 star LB Kaeo Akana who had offers from Oregon, UCLA, Washington, Utah and Nebraska. Boise State also added 3 star TE Austin Terry, the number 10 overall prospect in the state of Washington. WR Keenan McCaddy and offensive lineman Roger Carreon have also committed which gives the Broncos the highest rated class in the conference according to 247Sports.

Utah State adds neutral site game with Iowa

Utah State will play Iowa in a neutral site game in South Dakota in December. The Aggies and Hawkeyes will do battle at the Stanford Pentagon.

Neemias Queta will participate in the NBA Draft combine this week
