It’s Monday and we’re back after a weekend full of NFL draft news. The links keep pressing on, so check out the latest Mountain West and college sports-related news from around the web, plus the original content we have coming your way this week.
How will the Group of 5 be impacted by playoff expansion?
This is a big question that has yet to be answered. Will they get an automatic spot in a potential 8-team playoff or be lumped into at-large territory? However, the P5 conference hold the power and will continue to make the rules. AAC commissioner Mike Aresco fought tooth and nail to get the G5 a spot in the NY6 as it wasn’t originally in the plans. Can he do so again and can someone like say Craig Thompson join him in advocating? Also, they don’t see conference expansion happening anytime soon. Lastly, there’s a shoutout about SDSU’s recruiting under Brady Hoke.
Turner blossomed after a position change.
Cole Turner always believed he was destined for greatness. Thanks to a shift from WR to TE, that greatness took shape last season as Nevada’s breakout year coincided with his own. He’s not done yet, as Tuner is working just as hard to take the next step in his game. Football in his blood and in his work ethic. He should be just fine.
MWC changes in-conference transfer policy.
Similar to other conferences around the country, the Mountain West has eliminated the intraconference transfer rule.
