After releasing the CBS Sports portion of its 2021 football national television schedule yesterday, the Mountain West and FOX Sports released the broadcast schedule for the conference’s second national broadcast partner this afternoon.
In total, 23 MW games will be featured on FOX, FS1 or FS2, highlighted by the Mountain West Championship Game on Saturday, December 4 on FOX (time TBA).

FOX’s coverage of the MW begins with one of four non conference matchups on Friday, Sept. 3 when Colorado State hosts South Dakota State at 7 p.m. MT on FS1.
Boise State will be featured six times on the FOX networks, beginning with a pair of non conference games on FS1 against UTEP on Friday, Sept. 10 (7:30 p.m. MT) and Oklahoma State the following week, Saturday, Sept. 18 (7:00 p.m. MT).
Other Boise State conference games that will be featured on the FOX networks include an Oct. 2 meeting with Nevada (network TBD), and two key Mountain Division games against Air Force on Oct. 16 (network TBD) and Wyoming on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 p.m. MT on FS1.
Reigning conference champion San Jose State will be featured six times on the FOX networks, beginning on Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. HT at Hawaii on FS1. The Spartans will travel to Reno to face Nevada on Nov. 6 for a rematch of a thrilling regular season finale between both teams that clinched San Jose State a berth in the MW Championship Game.
The rivalry game between Fresno State and San Jose State on Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, will also be featured on one of the FOX networks.
Other notable conference games to be broadcasted by the FOX networks this season include Fresno State at Wyoming on Oct. 16, Nevada at Fresno State on Oct. 23, Wyoming at Fresno State on Oct. 30, San Diego State at Hawaii on Nov. 6, and Air Force at Nevada on Nov. 19 on FS1.
14 of the 23 games do not have an assigned network or kickoff times as of yet, those will be determined during the course of the regular season, at least two weeks before the games are to be played.
FOX Sports also released its national broadcast schedule for the first few weeks of the 2021 season and included in that are a pair of PAC-12 home games featuring Mountain West teams; Nevada goes to Cal on Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m. PT on FS1 and Hawaii travels to Oregon State to play the Beavers on Sept. 11 at 6:00 p.m. HT on FS1.
This is the second year of the six-year television deal with FOX that gives them the rights to a maximum of 23 regular season games, the MW Football Championship Game and all Boise State home games.
