Take a deep breath. We have arrived at another Friday. Get your weekend started a bit sooner with our collected links and original content coming your way today.

Is anyone happy with how the NLI is going?

Extra Points poses the question. Many state laws are prepped to go into effect July 1st. The country does not appear to be anywhere close to a vote or proposal. The NCAA is doing a lot of talking about it, but it doesn’t seem close to a vote and with the deadline of July 1st looming, who knows what they are thinking. Does anyone know what they are doing and does anyone like what is happening?

The game that put Boise State on the map.

Back in 2001, a 3-3 Boise State team played No. 8 Fresno State led by future No. 1 NFL Draft pick QB David Carr. The Bulldogs were the darling of the mid-majors and the Broncos were a struggling program doubting their coach. But this game seemed to change all of that. Boise State was winning long before that but it was their first marquee win and propelled the program forward to future upsets like Oklahoma, Oregon, Virginia Tech, and Georgia.

UNLV has an unexpected coaching vacancy.

Does the coaching carousel ever stop? The Rebels now have an opening on their offensive staff as offensive line coach Cameron Norcross will not return to the team going forward. Norcross brought a wealth of experience to the position and program after an impressive resume. Now a new coach will need to be brought into the fold.
