It’s another week of the MWC Recruiting Roundup.

Recruiting for the class of 2022 is in full force in Mountain West, as new offers are coming out in droves each and every week. With some states playing their football season this spring, coaches can see athletes play and hand out offers accordingly.

Teams continued to be active, with 8 of 12 teams handing out new offers. There were also two new commits in the conference. Utah State grabbed their fifth of the class and the new staff continues to prioritize recruiting early and often. The other new commit came from Boise State and because they landed one of the top players in California, they are on the banner this week.

Class of 2021 Cover Photo Total:

  • Utah State: 4
  • Air Force: 1
  • Boise State: 1
  • Fresno State: 1

Recruiting Calendar:

The dead period is still alive. But based on what the NCAA is allowing, it seems more like a contact period to some degree, as coaches can have unlimited calls and video meetings during this time.

Air Force Commitment Tracker:

Since the Air Force Academy regularly has around 100 commits in each class, it’s kind of fun to track them over the course of the year.

Number of Falcon verbal commits: 1

April Team Recruiting Rankings:

Here are the March recruiting rankings from last month.

1) Fresno State

2) Utah State

3) Boise State

4) Air Force

5-12) Everyone else

The Bulldogs and Aggies have jumped out to big leads in the 2022 class, picking up five recruits each. Their early work to put together a recruiting class can not be overstated, and this approach has worked out for other MWC teams in recent years. The Broncos currently have the best recruit in the conference, but for now, the quantity outweighs the quality in the rankings.
