What if CFB adopted a Champions League style?

Similar ideas have been thrown around the internet before. If you like European soccer and college football, this is definitely worth a ready. Basically, it would adopt their model; an upper and lower division, a real shot for Cinderella teams, and teams won’t be eliminated for a single loss. Would it be interesting? You bet. Will it ever happen? Not a chance, but it’s fun to speculate.

NCAA and Amateurism before the Supreme Court.

It was big news on Wednesday and Chris Vannini recapped the day in this free article (which is meaningful for the Athletic). Judges on both sides of the aisle questioned the NCAA’s decision-making on the matter. It all revolves around whether or not schools can cap the compensation they provide to student-athletes. While this isn’t related to the looming NLI decision, the outcome of this hearing is almost sure to have ramifications on the matter.
