Similar ideas have been thrown around the internet before. If you like European soccer and college football, this is definitely worth a ready. Basically, it would adopt their model; an upper and lower division, a real shot for Cinderella teams, and teams won’t be eliminated for a single loss. Would it be interesting? You bet. Will it ever happen? Not a chance, but it’s fun to speculate.

Judges on both sides of the aisle questioned the NCAA’s decision-making on the matter. It all revolves around whether or not schools can cap the compensation they provide to student-athletes. While this isn’t related to the looming NLI decision, the outcome of this hearing is almost sure to have ramifications on the matter.
