Get ready for some mid-week links! And even though it’s the NIT, two Mountain West teams are still in action.
The NCAA deserves plenty of criticism for the conditions they gave the women competing in the NCAA Tournament (including some from this site later today). However, as Matt Brown points out, there is plenty of blame to spread around. Schools weigh in on their priorities and Brown states that if athletic departments wanted to make this happen, it would’ve happened. A growing number of schools are out of Title IX compliance. If schools aren’t taking it seriously, why would anyone expect the NCAA to do so?
BJ Rains previews the tall task Boise State faces on Thursday. It’s a team loaded with top talent, with 6 players who were in the top 100 in their respective recruiting classes, and 9 who were ranked either four or five-star prospects. They have a number of players who can score and took rival Houston to the wire in two narrowing defeats this season. Do the Broncos have another strong game in them?
