Welcome to March!! It is college basketball’s time to shine, we are almost to MW Conference tournament time and there is no shortage of action, the top 4 teams are still looking to build NCAA tournament resumes and have their sights set on a conference tournament title.
Week 15 AP poll
We are heading down the stretch toward the conference tournament and San Diego State continues their ascent up the rankings. The Aztecs check into this week’s AP poll ranked 19 amidst a 10 game winning streak. No other MW teams are receiving votes.
Derrick Alston Jr. isn’t done yet
Boise State star Derrick Alston Jr. has had a heck of a career as a Bronco, going from walk on to conference player of the year candidate. On Tuesday Alston will suit up for senior day and a chance to cap off the regular season on a high note but he also knows the job isn’t finished yet saying “going into March with just everything in front of you, with all the opportunity in front of you, is not a bad feeling”.
Rams keep rolling
Colorado State was back in action en route to a 30 point beat down of Air Force on Monday. The rams are in line for a 2 seed in the conference tournament and keep their small chance at a league title alive.
